In terms of reach and return on investment, there is no tactic that rivals a Public Service Announcement. PSAs air during commercial time, on radio and television in all markets. Typically, they are running in “donated” airtime. While stations are no longer required by law to allocate a certain amount of time to PSAs, most stations welcome PSAs that serve their specific audiences. PSAs must serve the public with educational or informative content, avoiding a direct request for donations or monetary support. While online media outlets aren’t guided by a local sense to serve their audience, we have had great success via our online and digital content placement services. Highly desirable topics for PSAs are education, environment, health and safety.
Boom PSA clients include nationally known charitable brands and Fortune 500 companies that have created advocacy partnerships with organizations that are doing work that is changing the world. We take great pride and care in the work we are entrusted with by these amazing organizations.
The process for getting a PSA campaign up and going is:
Are we or you producing new content or is there existing content? Who is your audience and what is the call to action? What media makes sense: Television, Radio, Online or all three? These are the first questions we’ll ask when we begin our work together. Once we’ve answered these questions, Boom will develop recommendations, considerations and build our timeline.
Television. Radio. Online. Ultimately, a station or outlet will choose to use your PSA if the message resonates with their audience. However, we must ensure that spots provided are in the preferred delivery method or formats so the odds of reaching that audience are in your favor. That’s what sets Boom apart. With the transition from analog to digital, it’s never been more critical to maintain the most up-to-date information and technology in order to make delivery and formats a non-issue and a breeze. We do just that.
Tracking & Reporting
Metrics. Analytics. Results. Boom utilizes the most updated usage data from Nielsen, Arbitron and Compete to provide detailed audience and viewership information. Not only will we report on number of airings, markets, stations and ad values, but also we can provide breakouts for each version or spot and select demographics for your campaign.
